This year we had snow in November with frost and salt in December but thankfully this week we have had alternate rain and sun. The salt has been washed away… for now, and the roads are dry. Yesterday was such a nice day that a winter drive was mandatory. The carbureted Ferraris run so well in the crisp, cold air and the berlinetta’s cabin stays at a perfect temperature for long-distance motoring.
A suitable excuse was found (we need some groceries) and a tortuously indirect route of 87 miles was found in and around the lower Hudson Valley to get to the supermarket 4 miles away.
