The rear outer bushes are shot

Above are two rubber seals from my left rear suspension. The seals are completely shot. Another seal was missing completely. I’m fairly sure that these have never been replaced in the cars lifetime. I’m not quite sure what caused them to wear on one side like this though.

These washers act as thrust bearings either side of the bush and have one side with a  PTFE (Teflon) coating. My coating has worn off so these are junk too.

Finally here is the inner surfaces of one of the bushes. Again, it’s supposed to have a PTFE coating and you can still see a little of it. Most of it has worn off showing the steel underneath and so it’s also junk.

Instead of trying to salvage individual components of these bushing assemblies, which are afterall, wear components, I will order 8 complete replacement bushes (4 each side: 2 for the upper wishbone and 2 for the lower). The budget just took another hit!
